Country First

Whenever we do an editorial chastising America for not living up to its potential, there are complaints. Complaints that I blame America first. Which is silly - I'm not "blaming" America in any particular order. I'm simply of the belief that nothing gets better until you see the problem for what it really is. Republicans have become the party of red, white and blue rose colored glasses. By drowning out criticism with USA! USA!, they prevent this country from healing itself where it needs healing, and that is the opposite of Country First. For those who disapproved of Friday's editorial about Europe and America, here are two others of similar ilk to choke on :)

I received Karrine’s book, The Vixen Diaries; her beauty sparkles in print. She has that quintessentially feminine quality to be able to open herself up to us… but trying to play by the rules of an insecure society built on the cult of the individual is a dangerous endeavor for a girl with a generous nature. 

What came to mind is a book I enjoy re-reading every once in a while: 'The Introduction to Tantra - A Vision of Totality' by Lama Yeshe. Here is an excerpt.

All that ranting against Rick Warren has finally yielded some results! In the context of Obama's invitation, he became receptive to criticism about his web page and replaced the offensive stuff with less offensive fluff. It wouldn't of worked without the rants (isn't Rachel cute when she's mad?) and certainly wouldn't of worked without Obama's attention.

Deep down it comes down to fear of differences and fear of change.

Christian minds get short circuited by homosexuality. If there was anything close to a reason for everything, I'd say it's the dangerous neglect of sexual education. Sex should be reserved for those we Love, whether they be near or far. Within those confines, a well developed sexual vocabulary would keep couples together longer... perhaps forever, render homosexuality less threatening and even quell the violence in this sensually immature world. I can't help but think that if Christian wives were adept in the art of anal stimulation, a renewed tolerance would ensue.

Bibi and Tzipi are fighting to the finish in a hail of fireworks. It’s interesting to note that Bibi is ahead, as Tzipi came off as two dimensional in professing her aim to change realities on the ground by wiping out Hamas during a Dec 29th interview on FOX. In your video excerpt, Bibi on the other hand elucidated nicely the perfectly moral state of the perfect victim, and the deviation from perfection to power justified by the impeccable reasoning to avoid going back to the gas chambers. It’s a beautifully presented argument except for the subtle difference of reality that Palestinians are not building gas chambers. Seeing this video in contrast to your previous one makes me wonder if you are playing Devil’s advocate or really have a Jewish defense mechanism in overdrive. I tend to agree that we’re living in a global village which is only as safe as its least happy members, and the lack of food, education, the abundance of reasons to hate and so few reasons to hope will inevitably produce terrorists.

I tried to sort out the conflict by finding a Jewish perspective on the 6 month lull and recent relapse into madness. I went to Sderot Media to find out about the 50 or so Palestinian mortar attacks from March to November which terrorized Israelis without causing major injury or loss of life. Turns out many of these attacks weren’t sanctioned by Hamas. As the Jewish media reports: “…the lull was sporadically violated by rocket and mortar shell fire, carried out by rogue terrorist organizations, in some instance in defiance of Hamas… Hamas was careful to maintain the ceasefire.” Would vaporizing Hamas off the playing field solve Israel’s problems?

According to the same news organization, the erosion of the lull arrangement was concretized “…on November 4th as the IDF carried out a military action close to the border security fence on the Gazan side to prevent an abduction planned by Hamas, which had dug a tunnel under the fence to that purpose. Seven Hamas terrorist operatives were killed during the action.” IDF's strategy is to shoot first and ask questions later, even at such a crucial junction. Of course, even negotiations without violence were wrought with difficulties. More details emerge from the report: “Israel’s expectations that the lull arrangement would speed up negotiations for the release of the abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, and Hamas's expectations that it would lead to discussions regarding the Rafah crossing were not realized during the six months the arrangement was in force. When it came to Gilad Shalit, Hamas obstinately refused to budge from its former demand for the massive release of Palestinian murderers from Israeli jails. As to the issue of the Rafah crossing, Egypt does not seem eager to negotiate, possibly as a way of exerting pressure on Hamas because it is disappointed with Hamas's policies regarding a variety of internal Palestinian issues and because it fears Hamas will establish a radical Islamic emirate in the Gaza Strip. In our assessment such an emirate might try to establish closer contact with the Egyptian-based Muslim Brotherhood, its mother organization and a major, longstanding opposition group to the Egyptian secular-oriented regime.” It’s not only Jews versus Arabs, it’s also Arabs versus Arabs, and with the price of oil jumping since the conflict it may well be economic realities on the ground taking precedence, with Arabs and Jews versus Palestinians playing out the familiar ‘bash the weak to stimulate the economy’ protocol.

I have to admire Obama’s karma to be able to observe the flare up with impunity and preserve his Sabbatical since ‘there is only one president at a time’. The timing of this thing is telling in even more ways. Besides the parallel with the upcoming election, the Christmas connection is a synchromystical taunt. The Jewish religion doesn’t acknowledge the life of Jesus, the wounds remain deep and worldwide sadness at this time is a natural consequence.

To varying degrees the three major religions, Islam, Christianity and Judaism all worship God as a Being other than us. This may be another latent reason for strife and discontent. Islam, the name meaning submission, is remarkably fragmented. The mosques are decorated with geometric designs and elaborate patterns because the religion forbids religious art from imitating God’s work in the form of living creatures. That’s deep. In turn, unity is well served by a common enemy or cause. Is conflict a roundabout means to unity in the framework of alienating philosophies?

We Jews are cousins with Arabs, but don't quite get along. As I emerged from my mother’s womb in Algiers during the Arab Independence war, the other wing of the hospital was bombed to bits. I was carried out of the country as an infant and later warned to never return, to avoid the risk of getting repatriated by my countrymen and have a burka stuffed over my head. Although I will heed that warning, I feel at one with Arabs, Jews and everybody. George, your interesting anthology of last names is symbolic of the concept of one out of many. Tom Robbins shows creative ways to communicate with Arabs in a passage from his book ‘Fierce Invalids from Hot Climates’, as armed insurgents beat down the gate of a Christian nunnery somewhere on the Iraqi Syrian border.

This group, feeling oppressed and bullied by their stronger family members, banded together and formed their own tribe and called themselves Jewish.

And the Earth America is all too eager to sell weapons and ordinance to the Jews for a healthy profit. If these Jewish people would simply realize that they need not live in constant fear anymore in a more civilized world of today then perhaps these hostilities could end. The Jewish tribe still clings to an ‘anti-society’ mindset and this needs to change.

The Jewish people are a beautiful people who have made many wonderful, magnificent contributions to the good of all mankind.

Just wondering, have these Jewish WarPilots and tank crews tried group masturbation in lieu of killing, or a circle-jerk as it is also called? Has General Livni considered this?

I see where the Jewish War Machine has called for a build up of troops, and anytime you have a massive buildup of troops you also have a massive buildup of frustrations and anxiety. Masturbation could be the key to relieving some of these pent up frustrations and aggressions these men have.

Perhaps the Earth Americas could send a congressional envoy to Israel to lead the soldiers in group masturbation. This envoy could be headed up by Larry Craig. I understand he has some experience in these matters.

A competition could be made of it and points could be scored for different aspects of the competition, like the largest salvo or the farthest shot. Imagine scoring points and the elation gained for the accurate shot of a wad onto a target rather then scoring a direct hit and impaling a pregnant mother carrying an unborn child?

Just imagine if a Jewish WarPilot or tank crewman could experience the joyous feelings of sexual satisfaction as opposed to the satisfaction gained by cutting a young child in half with a missile?

It can be done.

Why, the whole competition could be televised and made into a reality TV show. It could be called The HARD ON FOR PEACE Show, or perhaps NBC’s Wide World of Spurts. And the Arabs can even join in and compete side by side with the Jews. Imagine the camaraderie gleaned by these men competing side by side with each other!

Perhaps it could even become an Olympic event! Gosh, wouldn’t it be nice to see these Jewish tribes participating in sports and physical activities again.

My sources deep within the Israeli government tell me that this attack on the Gaza Strip by the Israeli Army has been over a year in the planning. The timing of the attack or in fact whether the attack took place at all was all dependent upon the Earth Americas election.

Had the Republican candidate won the election, then the attack was to be on hold.

But if Barack Obama, the black Democratic Presidential candidate won which he did, then the attack was to take place before Mr. Obama takes office, which it has.

While plans were being laid by the Jewish Army for the attack, concurrent plans were being drawn up by a select contingency of wealthy Jews within, or with connections to, Wall Street, these plans being a blueprint for a sudden financial meltdown in the financial sector of Earth Americas.

Again, whether this plan was ever carried out was all contingent upon the Earth Americas election.

Israel did not want to see the black president elected. The Jewish Nation feels it is the only nation that has ever been an oppressed minority. The Jewish Nation uses the past to brainwash, with calculating control, their tribe members to the point of them living in constant fear of their own shadows while using this fear to justify everything from financial transgressions to murder in the name of protection.

The Jewish Nation cannot and will not acknowledge the fact that the Earth Americas African American has suffered a hundred fold more hardships and injustices then the Jewish tribes, however, the African American does not go about daily to rub it into his or her neighbor’s face. The Jew seethes with jealousy over the resilience & popularity of the African American. The unprovoked attacks on Barack Obama by the Israeli supporters on this comment board are proof of this.

The Jewish Nation’s plan is to collapse the world’s financial markets to cause mass panic and despair and then begin a localized military conflict that they escalate to World War III.

And all this in order to prevent the black President from taking office.

I appeal to the entire Jewish Nation to cease and desist this offensive. You have been exposed by your own people inside who do not wish to carry this plan forward.

I also appeal to the Arab & Palestinian people to lay down your weapons and try to come to terms with the Jewish Nation. You can all live together if YOU want to. It is not up to someone else, it is up to YOU.

Cease and desist now and devote your energy towards learning to live in peace with others around you, especially the African American who can teach the Jewish Nation a little about forgiveness, humility & love.

When I was young living in Oklahoma City my cousin Alfie and I were at school one day when a black boy approached Alfie and asked for a dollar from him for lunch money. Alfie had fifty dollars in his pocket but refused to give the hungry black boy anything, so the black boy beat him up and took the dollar. I asked Alfie why the black boy only took $1 from him and Alfie said it was because the little black boy was stupid and ignorant, but I secretly felt it was an honorable thing for the starving little black boy to do.

That night my uncle came to me and said it was time that Alfie & I learned to defend ourselves like men, so he took us out to an open field and gave us each an Uzi and taught us how to hold the trigger down until all 500 rounds in the cartridge were expended. We drilled for hours learning how to hold the trigger down tight until my index finger ached.

The following night my uncle told us to come with him. He said we were going to make sure that we would never again have to live in fear of being beaten up and our lunch money taken. We joined a team of Jewish Stormtroopers and a group of white Anglos and the town sheriff and we infiltrated the black community around midnight.

We sought out and killed the little black boy & his parents as they slept in their beds. As we were leaving the house a small black girl came out of another room and looked at us with surprise. Alfie looked at me and said that these blacks were always using their little sisters as shields when they beat someone up to take their lunch money, and then he emptied his Uzi into her just as he had practiced and we left her there whimpering as her intestines spilled out onto the floor.

The Stormtroopers and Anglos slaughtered the black community that night and torched their homes, then went home to drink beer or read some scriptures and eat kosher pickles.

I was sick to my stomach and I asked Alfie why, why did we do that, what’s it all about Alfie? He told me that they were not Jewish so they did not deserve to live and breath the same air as we do.

After that night I renounced my Jewish heritage and became free from the bonds of bigotry, hatred, and constantly living in fear of having $1 taken from me.

Now on the other hand, Obama’s choice for agriculture secretary has me stymied. Former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack is a proponent of factory farming, genetic engineering and the use of complex pesticides. Searching for clues to understand this appointment, I took note of Obama’s menu selection: ‘Spam Musubi' sushi. It looks like he’s trying to appease the organic crowd while indulging in his favorites (he names chili as #1). In general, black people love junk food, and even he can only be so pliable concerning tummy delights. (At my house we have to have white bread, but we don’t really speak white. As you entertained us the other day, your soliloquy may as well of been delivered in Sanskrit. Just as well…)

Not so for embattled Caroline, who walks like a Babushka, has a language abuse issue and evidently won’t do Poughkeepsie. Her best defense is a new stylist; the right look would melt away all doubts.

Our protégé Al is jumping the hurdles; I think we’re all looking forward to some "agile" entertainment in the upcoming audition. Roland Burris certainly has the irresistible ‘je ne sais quoi’ that warms our hearts.

At first I was outraged about refusing to let the Obama's stay in the White House guest house, but know I am positive that it is distraction propaganda. First, it is inconsequential to anything; more might think Jr an asshole, but he's out already. It is a flashbang. Second it distracts from the Israeli oppression of Palestinian civilians. last and most important, it establishes a clear demarcation between BO and the criminal Jr. In doing so it conceals the passing of the torch on critical unpopular issues that will continue under the new admin; we will get a fresh coat of whitewash from the new press corpse.

It also defers focus until a quieter time on the issue of the near certainty that BO will pardon Jr.

Personally i think we should turn Jr over to the Iraqis for trial & execution. He said a global dictatorship is OK with him as long as he is the dicktator. Fine by me, now lets get on to trying & executing the dictator.

The Jewish War Machine logic is flawed because it fails to take into account the ten Hamas soldiers it creates tomorrow from every one Hamas soldier murdered today.

The Planet Earth peoples do not begrudge the Jewish tribe for defending itself, but the manner in which the Jewish tribe is carrying out this defense is downright cowardly.

The logical response to bottle rockets and a few mortars being fired at you by a some juveniles would have been to:

1) Call for talks to resolve differences
2) Call out the militants for a man-to-man fair fight or some sort of competition to resolve differences

Of course the problem with talking is that the Jewish nation does not believe in bargaining to resolve differences because this might involve giving up or sharing something and the Jew believes that he is 'the chosen people' and should not have to give up anything to anyone.

And a fair fight is simply out of the question. Centuries of bookish pursuits coupled with Jewish religious & cultural laws prohibiting interracial or intercultural marriage has further weakened an already frail race of people. Besides an exceptionally strong mind that has grows stronger to compensate for bone and muscle deficiencies, the only other structurally sound part of a Jewish male is an index finger made strong over the decades from punching in a pin number, pecking on an adding machine, pulling on a gun trigger, or picking on a nose.

Hence, the only manner in which a Jewish tribe member can settle a difference is to take up a weapon and shoot his or her adversary as he stands before him with clenched fists, but for every one adversary killed ten more adversaries are created then fueled by revenge. And this is where the logic of the Jewish War Machine is flawed, and this is why their struggle will never end.

Until Jews understand that ‘their way’ is NOT the ‘only way’ in the world, they will never learn to live in peace with their neighbors. Everyone has a choice in life. If Israel wants to inflict its way of life on the rest of the world, why not make it the way of fairness, tolerance and love, qualities the beautiful, intelligent, talented Jewish people certainly have somewhere inside them?

When will they open their eyes???? The rest of the world sees it, why can't they? It is not logical.

12.07.2009 I posted an email here that I sent to all my US government representatives regarding the auto handout.

The only one to respond was Senator Boxer. She said that 153,000 people in California are employed by the auto industry so she supports the handout. this is bullshit, but at least she wasted her time & my money to get back to me and try to trick me; she gets a D - demonstrates internet skills & effort, but no traction. The rest of my supposed representatives get an F and their availability is sent to the federal penitentiary inmate draftboard; they are always looking for a few good catchers.

If you are not from America in this context 'catcher' is slang for being on the receiving end in sexual congress; I mean that these politicians should be sent to prison as inmates and raped for their treacherous actions.

I wrote back to Boxer that it looked like Jr was trying to undermine the United Auto Workers - as he did the unions of the major supermarket chains that you might remember all went on strike a few years ago.

I suggested that Jr is a union buster. Now that they nhave put together this power elite embezzlement.

I knew the supermarkets were going on strike because the week before, I read on the whitehouse.gov website the news that the CEO of Albertson's - one of the supermarket chains - hosted a luncheon for Jr in Crawford Texas.

Crawford is where the American Bin Laden compound is; Jr spends most of his time there, I hear that when not watching cartoons he loves the Manchurian Candidate ride.

So the supermarkets went on strike over about $20 million in benefits that the employees were trying to keep - they were not demanding more, just trying to keep what they had.

Apparently they lost more than this in the 1st 2 months of the strike, which lasted some 5-7 months. Lots of working class people lost their homes and the unions utterly failed to protect their members. Afterward I heard of consistent actions against the employees which included retaliation for pro strike employees including the shop stewards. If you don't know anything about unions, the steward is the union representative that the employees consult regarding union issues, such as when the boss can't keep his hands off them. The complaints I heard include violations of the Sherman Antitrust Act - legislation that a previous president established to protect employees from manglement pimps, sadists and the unhappily married. To my knowledge no effort was made to investigate these complaints; thats one sellout union they have there. There was also some obvious insider info stock manipulation by these corporate criminals.

Shortly after the strike the Albertson CEO was fired & eventually that company was sold to a European company. The mega bank squeeze looks just like this anticompetition 'one neck for one noose' New World Order & the auto makers 'crisis' is the same shit.

Did you know that the Chevy Aero is 100% manufactured in the Daihatsu factory in South Korea, complete with Chevy logo? Apparently South Korea is the 53rd state... senator. Another interesting thing about South Korea is that they have the highest Ph.D per capita in the world, higher even than Israel. I respect the high Jewish valuation of a decent education & think the greatest tragedy of the Bernie MadeOff scandal is the damage to Stephen Spielberg's education charity. Apparently Jr also hate Jews, along with ejakators and workers.

Another auto industry trick is have slave labor assemble all the components overseas, then put the 'engine' and the 'transmission' into the 'body' and claim that the cars were 'assembled' here. I 1st learned of this when Al Gore got BMW to build a factory in Tennessee. On top of the huge tax incentives - bribes - they got around paying the import taxes that they should have.

This is what happens when dumb politicians think jobs are commodities. He handled the press very professionally when he was charged with all the allegations against him regarding the Obama Senate seat. When he did finally present his case I was impressed I thought he would have a great career as a criminal defense attorney: mob lawyer! But on cursory inspection it appears that what he is saying in his defense is true and that whether his decisions were good or not and he has worked first for his constituents and he does have a long combative relationship with the Ill good ole boys. The Solution Part 1: A Maximum Wage

In the beginning... It is the year 2001 B.C. Rock strolls menacingly through the village, his village, for he is the king, or chief, or leader, whichever you prefer, and his imposing figure-- a physique seemingly chiseled from forged granite-- has the villagers scurrying for their caves as he passes by. But not fast enough is one unfortunate tribeswoman who, so intent on watching the ground where a pair of battling scorpions have interlocked in a death-grip while frantically stinging each other to death, does not notice Rock coming up behind her.

The tribeswoman spots a shadow and turns just in time to glimpse a club coming down to smash her on the side of the head, dazing and numbing her so that she is powerless to stop Rock as he mounts and has his way with her.

After satiating himself with the tribeswoman, Rock leaves her lying in a whimpering heap and precedes on towards his own cave to rest his weary bones -- its been a long day for Rock, his hunt for Mastodon once again unsuccessful. On the way he smells meat cooking from inside a cave, and he thinks how it would be nice to have something to eat before he goes to sleep, so he approaches the smoky cave, raises his club above his head, and enters.

Inside a woman holds a stick with what looks to be a skinned rabbit on it over a small fire. Sitting off to her side is a male who grabs his club and quickly jumps up as Rock approaches.

The two warriors stand facing each other, clubs raised to strike, when Rock lets out a growl and then a scream. A baby begins crying from somewhere towards the back of the cave. "A self-made man," he is quick to boast, yet his grandfather's fortune amassed in the early railroad industry through the sweat of immigrated slave labor makes William Randolph about as self-made as the pompous Mr. Bounderby from Charles Dickens's Hard Times.

Rockefellow passes through a street-side farmers market and spots an attractive young lady at a vegetable stand who is busy fondling a tomato in search of that perfect one. He turns to approach her, and a smile crosses his tight, thin lips as he thinks of how exhilarating it would be to 'take' her right there where she stands. But cooler thoughts prevail as he knows that such action would be considered rape in today's civilized society, so he suppresses his urge, turns, and continues on towards his office content in the knowledge that if he wanted the woman bad enough, he could simply send one of his men out to 'buy her'. Rockefellow is a man accustomed to getting what he wants, and if his years in the corporate world have taught him anything, it is that everyone has their price.

Rockefellow enters his plush, penthouse office and settles in behind his beautifully hand-crafted mahogany desk. The desk is covered with paperwork. It is budget time, and Rockefellow scowls at the thought of having to give his workers a raise. He would rather fire them then give them a raise, but after having cut 10,000 jobs off his payroll in the past year, he can not safely lay off any more workers without risking productivity. Not yet, anyway. The thought of Congress raising the Minimum Wage begins giving Rockefellow indigestion. He knows he can never satisfy his workers, and despite the annual 2.5% raise he gives them, they always want more.

Rockefellow momentarily savors the thought of running a slave camp where he would have to pay nothing, but cooler thoughts prevail as he knows that it is not legal to do so, anymore.

Rockefellow signs the paper to give his tens of thousands of laborers their 2.5%, then quickly tosses the paper aside and out of sight, hoping that his indigestion will now disappear just as fast. And to guarantee that it does, Rockefellow signs another document giving himself and his fellow company officers a nice 15% pay raise, no, make that 25%, okay, 35%, because the company has had a bountiful year, and because he personally wants to buy another vacation home on the west coast. And because he can.

Fact: The rich get richer and the poor get poorer... Human beings are naturally acquisitive. It is a fact of existence. When a person is hungry, he/she naturally seeks food to satisfy that hunger. When a person is tired, he/she needs sleep. When a person is lonely, he/she seeks companionship. All these actions are natural and instinctive. So is possessiveness. When a person sees something he/she wants, he/she will, by nature, attempt to acquire this something.

Take natural sexual desires for instance. If a person has the desire to have sex with another person, then that other person must be a consenting partner to the act. This is the law. Though it is perfectly natural to desire sex and to seek satisfaction, civilized society today places limitations on these instinctual desires through laws. These laws are an essential part of co-habitation.

Now let's take hunger as another example. If a person is hungry, he/she will seek, must seek food to satisfy that hunger. But to get that food, a person must give something in exchange for it, and in most cases it is money. One can not walk into a grocery store and just take what they want, and likewise, one can not just walk into any house at random and take what is in the refrigerator. Our community laws prevent such behavior. Regardless of how hungry a person is, he or she cannot just take food as if he or she were taking a breath of fresh air. It is against the law-- a guideline in the process of co-habitation. A person cannot just take by force, as early man once did, that which they desire.

And as for materialistic goods, or commodities, it is natural to want. Whether it is necessities such as toilet paper and shoes, or extravagant items such as fur coats or precious diamond jewelry, all human beings have a natural tendency to desire things which they feel are pleasing to the eye, or items which they feel will make their life easier. And humans, by nature, attempt to acquire these things.

Our economy is based on trade, meaning in order to get something we must give something in return. Thus, in order to gain material possessions and property, one must have buying power.

Power. Money is power and power is money... In the days of early man, power was sheer brute strength and force. The strong took from the weak; this was the natural order of existence. Society was based on 'every man for himself.' As humankind progressed and adapted to co-habitation, social norms developed and laws were implemented by consensus for order and normality. The practice of taking another's possessions forcefully became restricted by law enforcement. A free trade society was implemented, Capitalism was born, and capital was based on the value of gold.

In our present society, our economy is still based on gold, but it is now represented by legal tender. This legal tender represents buying power through which one may acquire materialistic goods. But in order to acquire legal tender, the common man must work for it. The vast majority of people work for someone and are paid for their labor. And to ensure that an employer does not take advantage of his laborers, the law has established a 'Minimum Wage' which an employer must pay his employees. However, this Minimum Wage, or 'Livable Wage' as it is soon to be called, leaves much to be desired.

The 'Minimum Wage'. Just another word for slave labor...

America's capitalistic society was founded and made strong off the sweat of slave labor. From the African slaves who worked the fields of southern plantation owners or the cheap labor of the European immigrants during the northern Industrial revolution, to the cheap sweat-shop labor of third-world countries, slavery continues today under the guise of the Minimum Wage. Cheap labor is an inherent and adherent element of a capitalistic society, and its purpose is two-fold.

Firstly, by creating and maintaining a large group of lower class working poor, a corporation assures itself of an inexhaustible reserve pool of cheap labor available to the whims and fluctuations of the corporation.

Secondly, by creating and maintaining this large group of reserve cheap labor, corporations may then mistreat the employees they have, safe in the knowledge that if the employees don't like it they will be unlikely to quit because there will always be someone who desperately needs work and will be willing to take the disgruntled employee's place and put up with the company's abuse.

Also, by maintaining a large pool of the unemployed or working poor, corporate America orchestrates an underclass society mired in chaos and desperation, an underclass which will lash out and prey on whomever happens to be within reach, namely each other. The result is an increase in criminal activities amongst the poor, gang violence and 'black on black' crime being prime examples. Corporate America can then blame the country's depressed state on crime and immoral behavior, thereby taking the attention away from their own unethical ways…(cont.)

Corporate ethics in America...NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw reported in March of 1996 that the average CEO's salary of the top seventy-six businesses in America went up nearly 15% last year to over two million dollars-- and this during a period when more workers than ever were laid-off by these same corporations. According to the February 26, 1996 issue of Newsweek magazine, AT&T chairman Robert Allen made $3.3 million in salary last year. Add to that an extra $5 million in stock and options after he announced the layoffs of 40,000 workers in January of 1996. Walter Shipley, CEO of Chemical/Chase Manhattan earned $2.4 million last year, and also laid-off 12,000 workers.

To put this all in perspective, there is on average one spouse and two children depending on each laid-off worker's income to survive, thus essentially creating four persons with no income for every one laid-off.

Is this ethical? Not hardly.

Is it fair? Certainly not.

Is it legal? It most certainly is.

It is not legal to steal a $3.00 package of hamburger if you need to feed your children, yet it is legal for a corporation to lay-off or freeze the salaries of their laborers while giving their executives a 100% raise if they so desire. Perfectly legal. And this is where the law must change.

The answer is a Maximum Wage..."Increase the Minimum Wage!" This is the same tired solution always coming from our government. It is time for some real change. What this country needs is a Maximum Wage, a 'salary cap' whereby no corporate CEO can be paid more than 10 times the lowest paid worker in that company. This means that if the highest paid CEO of a company presently makes $2 million, then the lowest paid worker, be it the secretary or the custodian, must be paid $200,000 per year.

Another way to look at this is that any company would have a pay scale based on a ten-tier system. Most new employees would be brought in at the bottom scale and over the years have the potential to move up on the pay scale. The top executives would be at the top tier, but could advance no further unless all tiers were modified to allow the increase. The more successful the company, the higher the pay scales could be. Executives, and laborers alike if desired, could also boost their income through stock options. This would give the common laborers and executives alike more incentive for efficiency and productivity. This is the type of corporate restructuring needed, not mass layoffs.

A law such as this will result in the decrease in pay for the gluttonously rich. A Maximum Wage will require a sacrifice from a small minority of people who can easily afford it, and will give a large majority an easier way of life.

With more money being spread around more evenly, the result will be more buying power for a larger number of people and more small business opportunities, thus creating a boom in the economy. Despair in America will diminish, crime will decrease, a rebuilding process will begin, and Americans will once again be united.

Government wants to blame single parent families for the decay of morality in America. Though there may be some merit to this, why has the government never addressed the fact that the average working American's salary is not enough to support their self plus a spouse and child. Consequently, responsibility falls an unwitting victim to one's own quest for comfort and satisfaction.

The revolution will be televised... Corporate America will not take a 'Maximum Wage' lying down. Wealthy Capitalists will scream "Communism." Let them. Communism is a bitter enemy to the wealthy, but is a friend to the common man. Americans have, by design, been conditioned to fear Communism. The fact is Communism, derived from the word 'commune (or community), is more a mindset than it is a form of government.

Karl Marx, in his Communist Manifesto wrote "Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society: all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labor of others by means of such appropriation." In other words, Communism does not prevent a person from earning a living, but it does prevent a person from enslaving others as a means to that end.

There are good points to Communism and there are bad points, just as there are good and bad to Capitalism. A 'Maximum Wage' embraces the good in Communism and combines it with the good in Capitalism to form a better way of life for the vast majority of parties involved.

Corporations in Japan have followed this 'Maximum Wage', or 'ten-tier' formula for years, and it has made their country and economy strong. Products made in Japan are noted for their quality. This is because the 'Maximum Wage' system breeds worker participation and responsibility and this is what the American worker lacks today. The American worker feels alienated due to the lack of respect afforded him or her by management and the government alike. However, with a Maximum Wage, the American worker would once again feel as though he is getting fair compensation for his labors, and consequently, his or her productivity will increase.

Get tough on crime. Build more prisons... The inability to achieve a comfortable living by working at a job inbreeds an inclination towards an alternative means of subsistence, and in the majority of cases, this means illegal drug activity, prostitution, or other types of criminal behavior. The gangsters of old in America have all fallen by the wayside. Now make way for the new 'Public Enemy #1' -- our youth. America's younger generation has evolved from being future presidents to being unconscionable criminals, or 'super predators' as they are now being so eloquently labeled. Why has this happened? And what is this country to do about it? Lock up the entire younger generation for being a "menace to society?"

But who is the real 'menace to society?'

Professor Paul Butler of the George Washington School of Law, in a paper recently published by the Harvard School of Law, argues that black men serving time in prison for selling drugs should be let out because "they are only trying to better their position in life." Professor Butler has a point. These black men, many of them young men, are only using what resources are available to them in order to acquire the materialistic goods which have been available to rich white Americans for years.

The only difference between what these young blacks do and what corporate executives do is the executive's unethical means of acquisition are legal, and the black’s means are not.

But I digress. This is not an issue of black versus white. It is an issue of rich versus poor, the bourgeoisie versus the proletariat, the 'haves' versus the 'have-nots'. And the battle lines are becoming more and more distinct all across America.

Nothing really to say about this post because I'm a little untimely...just would like to thank you for "Religulous." I thought it was going to be like a roast of religion - yes, I would have laughed. Hard. Instead, I laughed and came out with a strong message that should get people thinking for themselves, questioning why they believe what they do, and making a change. But unfortunately, I think that's too much to ask for the ignorant people of this country, and it's sad that the people who NEED to see your film the most are the ones who will protest out of their own closed-mindedness. Please do not be fooled by the "sheep in wolves clothing" that have recently lobbied Congress for renewable sources of energy. These people include James J. (Jim) Mulva, CEO Conoco/Phillips and T. Boone Pickens. These people talk of developing renewable sources, but all they want to do is completely exhaust every last fossil fuel first. T. Boone wants to sell natural gas. Mr. Mulve wants to "drill baby drill". They talk of doing what's best for the country, when all they really want is what's best for their corporations. Is it "best" for the country to drill off the Eastern seaboard and then sell that oil on the world market, or keep it here?

I just don't trust these bastards, and they haven't given me a reason to trust them. Actions speak louder than words. Actions like manipulating investment companies to speculate in oil commodities, driving up the price of oil to $140/barrel, and then saying "it's just supply and demand, blame China and India for the high prices". Assholes!

I don't trust them ans anyone with half a brain in their head shouldn't trust them either.

I'm a little agitated though. All that crap you uncovered and still throughout our history the belief in God is everywhere. What were our forefathers thinking? They all seem to have believed in God. I'm reading the Declaration of Independence, and it mentions God 4 times.

I've read President Thomas Jefferson's letter to a baptist congregation saying that the definition of "separation of church and state" actually means that it stops the government from interfering with the free exercise of the Christian religion not that it should keep references to God, Christ, and the Bible out of public life. Is this true? Tell me it isn't so.

What's worse is that I just read through every Presidential Inauguration speech from George Washington to Barack Obama and every single president of the United States referred to this so called God of the Bible in his inaugural address. They all mention God; some even quote scripture. What the heck is going on here?

I'm going through the history of the Pledge of Allegiance and the phrase "Under God" was actually added to it 50 years ago by congress. By Congress! What the heck were those crazies thinking?

You might be on to something here...they're all nuts. It's Like they all have some kind of genetic abnormality in their brains... all of them from the day this country was created. All those bible thumping crazies running our country. When will it all stop?

Hey Bill, I'm not sure if you'll read this but I just wanted to tell you something. I'm 19 years old and I was born in Pakistan to a muslim, moderately religious family. I used to be very religious when I was young (this is conditioned by the media and society in general). I was very fortunate to have a computer at a young age and learn about other religions, and I realized early on that I don't connect well with many of the teachings of Islam. Still I continued calling myself a Muslim even though I didn't practice any of the teachings. Until I saw your movie Religulous which has given me the courage to freely admit what I already know is true. I now call myself a 'Rationalist' if someone asks me what religion i'm from. I'd like to sincerely thank you for your work and a great documentary. You're doing what only a few people have the courage to do but what many people desperately need.

I know see the US for what it is. I've been living and working in the US in the shelter atmosphere of educated and enlightened people, in academia. These past few weeks the cocoon I was in finally broke. The US has an official image of being modern, of separating religion and state, and of having shed old-world prejudices. But I recently got to see what's underneath the surface: a movement with its own sadistic interpretation of Christianity, who think the bible tells them to support Israel and see what they vaguely know as the muslim world, as their enemy. Not much different from the bigotry of the pilgrims who held the bible in one hand as they exterminated the natives with the other. This is not an anti-Christian view, I am an Arabic Christian (that would be the *original Christians*

As for the image of the States, it's been a while since its evangelists and their extremist views are known to the rest of the world. It's sad that in the arab world, people still see american jews as the ones who control lobbies and support the extreme actions of Israel. During the presidential campaign (2 full years, lots of time to learn), I realized that most jews in the US are democrats and supported Obama. The problem comes from far right evangelists. But I guess that it's harder to see from the inside, when you're surrounded by regular people. Let me guess, you've recently had a conversation with an evangelist :)

NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw reported in March of 1996 (yes, 12 years ago the writing was on the wall) that the average CEO's salary of the top seventy-six businesses in America went up nearly 15% in 1995 to over two million dollars, this at a time when more workers than ever were laid-off by these same corporations.

According to the February 26, 1996 issue of Newsweek magazine, AT&T chairman Robert Allen made $3.3 million in salary for 1995. Add to that an extra $5 million in stock and options after he announced the layoffs of 40,000 workers in January of 1996. Walter Shipley, CEO of Chemical/Chase Manhattan earned $2.4 million in 1997 and also laid-off 12,000 workers.

To put this all in perspective, there is on average one spouse and two children depending on each laid-off worker's income to survive, thus essentially creating four persons with no income for every one laid-off.

Is this ethical? Not hardly. Is it fair? Certainly not. Is it legal? It most certainly is. It is not legal to steal a $3.00 package of hamburger if you need to feed your children, yet it is legal for a corporation to lay-off or freeze the salaries of their laborers while giving their executives a monumental raise or bonus if they so desire. Absolutely legal. And this is where the law must change.

It is time for some real change. What this country needs is a Maximum Wage, a 'salary cap' whereby no corporate CEO can be paid more than 10 times the lowest paid worker in that company. This means that if the highest paid CEO of a company presently makes $2 million, then the lowest paid worker, be it the secretary or the custodian, must be paid $200,000 per year.

Another way to look at this is that any company would have a pay scale based on a ten-tier system. Most new employees would be brought in at the bottom scale and over the years have the potential to move up on the pay scale. The top executives would be at the top tier, but could advance no further unless all tiers were modified to allow the increase. The more successful the company, the higher the pay scales could be. Executives, and laborers alike if desired, could also boost their income through stock options.

A Maximum Wage would give the common laborers and executives alike more incentive for efficiency and productivity. This is the type of corporate restructuring needed, not mass layoffs.

A law such as this will result in the decrease in pay for the gluttonously rich. A Maximum Wage will require a sacrifice from a small minority of people who can easily afford it, and will give a large majority an easier way of life.

With more money being spread around more evenly, the result will be more buying power for a larger number of people and more small business opportunities, thus creating a boom in the economy.

Despair in America will diminish, crime will decrease, a rebuilding process will begin, and Americans will once again be strong.

A 'Maximum Wage' can form a better way of life for the vast majority of Americans.
Corporations in Japan have followed a quasi-form of a 'Maximum Wage', or 'ten-tier' formula for years, and it has made their country and economy strong. Products made in Japan are noted for their quality.

A Maximum Wage could be implemented in the Auto Industry on a temporay basis until such time that they begin showing a profit and display that they have the wisdom to carry on responsibly without any further govt intervention.

This is the answer.

He’s making the right moves to reach out to all layers of Muslim society, with some help from Busta Rhymes’ and Lil’ Wayne’s great rhythms off the track ‘Arab Money’. Plus, you have to be enthused that he included the denomination of ‘non-believers’ in his inaugural address as well as in the Al Arabiya interview. Religious rebels are finally on the map!

Second, this "stimulus" bill intentionally does not cover small business. Small business relief is going to come in the form of more money to The Small Business Administration (SBA). More money will be available for the SBA to lend. And the difference is, it will be loaned directly from the SBA, not through a secondary lender such as a private bank.

Besides, being the owner of a small business, a tax cut is not going to stimulate me to hire more workers. The only way I will hire more is when the contracts start piling up on my desk, again. A tax break is useless if there is little/no work. My potential customers are the ones who need cash/credit; middle class America. Give them the tax break, not me, thank you very much. (I'll take it later.)

What the GOP wants is just more of the same of the past eight years. They just don't get it. Neither do too many weak minded Americans who are susceptible to the marketing/advertising tricks that litter the airwaves. "GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE!" "SO EASY A CAVEMAN CAN DO IT!" Why does this old shit seem to make sense again? I haven't dropped any tabs in at least 20 years. Maybe instead of another "cultural" revolution, it's time for a "real" revolution. Many of these Government jobs to renovate our American infrastructure will go to unemployed and impoverished youth. I think this would be great!

Another example is the white intellectual engineer of today who can design a revolutionary polymer that will double the life of each and every automobile tire in America, yet ask him to change that tire and he or she will be lost.

As the white intellectual in America continues to distance himself or herself from any task requiring some measure of physical exertion, he or she becomes increasingly more physically imbalanced. His or her stress levels rise and overall health declines as he or she becomes an addict to the sedentary pursuit of mental masturbation. The pathetic health of today’s average American and increased need for pills and therapy and medication for today’s American youth is testimony to this.

Why, the average WASAMI American youth has becoming so physically inept that there is now, as we speak, legislation being drawn up in Congress that will soon require a warning label on each and every pack of chewing gum sold in America stating- WARNING: WALKING AND CHEWING GUM AT THE SAME TIME CAN BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN FIRST TO BE SURE YOU ARE HEALTHY ENOUGH TO CHEW GUM.

So yes, there WILL be opportunity for American whites too for these jobs! And imagine the joy & satisfaction these WASAMI youth will feel after having put in a full day of work where they actually ACCOMPLISHED something! For a while now, I've been wondering who could be the right girl for you. Hear out my idea… if you were married, we would both have a stable infrastructure at home, and maybe then could we blog in peace. I don’t have a yacht. Last week I was sitting in a gas station chatting with a business acquaintance who was amiable enough to change my flat tire, when I looked up and saw Secret Love.

It's a long story, but the laid off contractor who was testing my love for humankind is not a carpenter. We don’t build with sticks which tend to blow away; we pour concrete over reinforced steel. (1) Doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. Did he read anything outside of talking points about policy issues such as the stimulus.

Geithner’s nomination was meant to appease right wingers but Obama miscalculated Tim’s miserable aesthetics and lackluster delivery. How bad was the performance? Fury and despair reverberated all the way in Lone Grove OK.

Note that the actual plan is to form a national bad bank; a national bank nonetheless … down the line, a big advantage for constituents. I admit it’s extremely difficult to find a fed money machine who can emote, but Obama spoiled us with his super charisma. Does the constitution allow for him to sit in for the treasury secretary?

Nice cars! But the problem I see with electric cars is - Where is the electricity to charge them coming from? If it's coming from a coal burner it defeats the purpose. However, if it's coming from wind/solar then it's worth it. But you also have to consider how much is it taking off the grid that would otherwise be used for powering other things.

There's always a catch, and there's no single answer. Electrics will be part.

...any companies receiving bailout funds must implement the following restriction to their payroll:

A Maximum Wage, or a ‘salary cap’ whereby no corporate CEO can be paid more than 10 times the lowest paid worker in that company. This means that if the highest paid CEO of a company presently makes two million per year, then the lowest paid worker, be it the secretary or the custodian, must be paid $200,000 per year, or if a CEO takes $500,000 in salary per year, the lowest paid employee must be paid $50,000 per year, or the hourly equivalent if a part time employee.

Another way to look at this is that any company would have a pay scale based on a ten-tier system. Most new employees would be brought in at the bottom scale and over the years have the potential to move up on the pay scale. The top executives would be at the top tier, but could advance no further unless all tiers were modified to allow the increase. The more successful the company, the higher the pay scales could be.

Thus, a company must either raise the lowest tier of pay, or lower the top tier to satisfy requirements.

Executives, and laborers alike if desired, could also boost their income through stock options. This would give the common laborers and executives alike more incentive for efficiency and productivity. This is the type of corporate restructuring needed, not mass layoffs.

A law such as this will result in the decrease in pay for the gluttonously rich. A Maximum Wage will require a sacrifice from a small minority of people who can easily afford it, and will give a large majority an easier way of life.

With more money being spread around more evenly, the result will be more buying power for a larger number of people and more small business opportunities, thus creating a boom in the economy. Despair in America will diminish, crime will decrease, a rebuilding process will begin, and Americans will once again be united.

This is the solution to somewhat diminish the greed that is destroying the Earth Americas economy.

...ah yes, but my MAXIMUM WAGE PROPOSAL is NOT SOCIALISM...

...a MAXIMUM WAGE is merely a necessary SPEED LIMIT ON CAPITALISM as it has been shown that the modern-day WASAMI corporate CEO is drunk at the wheel...

...and according to the February 26, 1996 issue of Newsweek magazine, AT&T chairman Robert Allen made $3.3 million in salary for 1995, then add to that an extra $5 million in stock and options after he announced the layoffs of 40,000 workers in January of 1996.

Walter Shipley, CEO of Chemical/Chase Manhattan earned $2.4 million in 1997 and also laid-off 12,000 workers.

To put this all in perspective, there is on average one spouse and two children depending on each laid-off worker's income to survive, thus essentially creating four persons with no income for every one laid-off.

Is this ethical? Not hardly. Is it fair? Certainly not. Is it legal? It most certainly is. It is not legal to steal a $3.00 package of hamburger if you need to feed your children, yet it is legal for a corporation to lay-off or freeze the salaries of their laborers while giving their executives a monumental raise or bonus if they so desire. Absolutely legal. And this is where the law must change.

The answer is a Maximum Wage in America...

Ergonovine, also known as ergometrine or d-lysergic acid beta-propanolamide, is an ergoline (and lysergamide) derivative, and one of the primary ergot and morning glory alkaloids. It is chemically similar to LSD, ergine, and lysergic acid.... According to TIHKAL by Alexander Shulgin, ergonovine has LSD-like action at levels of 2-10 milligrams.

The blowfish is a fish in the Tetraodontidae family. The puffer's toxin is called tetrodotoxin. Puffer's poisoning will cause deadening of the tongue and lips, dizziness, and vomiting. These are followed by numbness and prickling over the body, rapid heart rate, decreased blood pressure, and muscle paralysis... Many people report being fully conscious during the entirety of the coma, and can often remember everything that was said while they were supposedly unconscious.


Oxytocin, ergonovine and tetrodotoxin do have something in common; all three can juice up spiritual experience. I am not sure if you actually read this but..... I have to tell you that I ditched work in order to make it to your first show back on Friday. Can I just say I luv you! But that first show was awful. I am not sure if it was your guests or that awful tie, are you unwilling to go after Obama? What's the deal! I need the real you back because your first show was reminiscent of a ladies garden tea party, everyone including you was overly polite and it made me think that the FCC was looking over your shoulder. I just watched Religulous and we must be kindred spirits. You said many of the things I have been saying for years. I often quote you saying religion is a neurologiccal disorder. I have one you can quote from me. There are many many people in the world who need freedom FROM religion not freedom OF religion. To name a few, every child who ever died because the parents didn't believe in doctors, the mormon girls FORCED into polygamous marriages, many moslem women and all those who are not allowed to dance, turn off/on lights, use electricity eat pork, etc.

Many people also have it backwards. I am not sure that God created mankind, but I am certain that mankind created the God(s) of religion.

I want to share with you a recent entry from my blog (which has a whopping nine readers!). You might not agree with the first part, but you mentioned the second half on your Friday broadcast of Real Time.

War and Weed

Because I'm attending Roosevelt University, I decided to not be a total hack and do some research about the person that the school is named after, Franklin Roosevelt. And, thinking about Roosevelt and learning new information on the man led to a theory about some possible remedies for our current economic situation.

First, a piece of must-know information. One of the significant events that preceded the Great Depression was the Stock Market crash of 1929. The initial crash was on what some refer to as Black Thursday. The exact date was October 24, 1929. Exactly 50 years later, in a Las Vegas Hospital, yours truly was born. Yes. On the 50th Anniversary, October 24, 1979, Brian Fredrick Wright was born. I just Bo Jackson-ed (referred to myself in the 3rd person). So, there has to be some reason for that. And, I think it's this:

Most experts agree that World War II acted as a springboard to recovery for America following the Depression. Jobs were created based on the needs of the Military. Hundreds of thousands of unemployed workers were now full-timers, building vehicles and packaging food and printing papers and doing jobs that were born from the War. In the six years of World War II, unemployment went from over 10% to roughly 1.2% when the war ended in 1945.

Okay. So, what's the point? Some will say that we're already at war. Two wars, to be exact. But, I think we can all agree that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan don't create jobs (except for the elite companies chosen for contracts). But, there is a war that can not only create jobs, but build a universal pride in America, and put us back on the moral high ground in the world. And, this war will be short. Actually, I hate to even call it a "war" because the war part is the gateway to a larger, more efficient strategy of investment.

The war is in Sudan. I agree that there are evil forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, but on the global evil scale, President Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir of Sudan is the equivalent of Adolf Hitler. Many have heard of the Darfur conflict, but most don't know that al-Bashir is directly involved in the deaths of roughly 400,000 people and the displacement of over 2.5 million people. On top of that, daily rapes of women and children and gruesome murders occur.

Is this a reason for war? Yes. I think so. The great, leading American minds on this don't agree with me. These heroes of mine want a peaceful solution. And, I admire them for that. But, 80s Arnold movies taught me that, sometimes, you need to kick ass and take name. But, like I said, this was will lead to something bigger. And, because the US has the most unbelievable military in the world, we can make this war short and sweet. Which leads to the the bigger deal. The Big Deal (yes, taken from Roosevelt's New Deal).

The Big Deal will start in a now democratic Sudan, and spread throughout Africa. One part of The Big Deal will be called InvestAfrica. The model will be Sudan. And, in Sudan, with a democratically elected President (which Sudan used to have until al-Bashir led a coup in 1989), America will invest in the infrastructure and people of Sudan. We'll build roads, telephone capability, power, etc. We'll create jobs. We'll make a now struggling country turn into the model country of Africa. And, other countries will follow. I'd love to speak to finance, infrastructure and government experts on this to really map out the plan. Until then, I'll push for the overall ideology. This idea could be a whole book. For now, it must live here, on a blog. But, hopefully, it can expand into policy.

Another huge factor in stopping the Great Depression was something so simple, yet so important to the fabric of America that we tend to forget about it. And, that's ending Prohibition. Prohibition lasted from 1920 to 1933. In that time, the sale, manufacture, and transportation of alcohol for consumption were banned nationally. It was Constitutional law. So, what happened? Bootlegging rose hence crime rose. People were going to drink... no matter what. They visited illegal bars and speakeasies. They got their alcohol. And, organized crime blossomed and benefitted.

What is the 2009 mirror of alcohol in the 20s? Weed. Pot. Marijuana. That's right. The border problem we have with Mexico is not just illegal immigrants. We have major problems with violence spilling into US border towns form Mexican drug cartels. These violent drug cartels thrive off American consumption of their product. My idea works two-fold for this, and makes Mexican drug cartels irrelevant.

First, the national government must legalize marijuana - the use, sale, manufacture, and transportation. Decriminalize it. Then, industrialize it. Imagine the jobs created in the legal marijuana market. There would be farms, equipment, transportation, wholesale, retail - millions of jobs will be created. Much like alcohol in the 1920s, present pot smokers will smoke pot NO MATTER WHAT. So, why not fix problems?

We have to start thinking Green, too. But, there isn't a plain and simple answer to those problems. I wish there was. But, lifestyle changes are always gradual. I have ideas on simple ways to head in the direction of living green, but that's a different article all together.

So, what do you think? Problems with my plan? Holes? Would you approve of this new world where the economy flourishes and there's smiles on everybody's face?

Economist Ellen Brown is now trying to downplay the need for radical change in the banking system. In her latest blog she endorses the relatively simple option of funding the stimulus with interest free borrowing from the Fed, instead of suckling from high interest foreign lenders. She argues how this would not result in inflation, our problems would be solved, and how the Fed has already started co-operating with this in its altruistic mercy. Even the commenters on her blog are not ready to relinquish our total distrust of this agency, nor the outrage of emerging class warfare. Obama may be hustling his centrist stance successfully, but an informed society cannot be made numb again so easily. If only his way wasn’t the high road of wisdom! Philosophically he's likely to prevail if he can wheedle his regulations to a resuscitated banking industry without browbeating it back down with nationalism. Spiritually, the pros method of effecting change is through something which could be called passive intervention, wherein illuminated minds do nothing at all, and everything happens their way… of course this has nothing to do with Ron Paul’s creaky conservatism. It’s difficult to understand, but neat when it works. Thank goodness for a little comic relief, like your double banker delight!

I understand that bad mortgage loans caused by poor banking practices have pushed us deep into debt with China.

Home owners who took on unaffordable debt and the lenders (the pros who should have known better) should absorb those losses.
Large bank failures will not stop our economy. The resulting assets of such failed institutions will be bought by investors and economic life will go on.
Returning to sound banking practices will provide a better picture of real estate values which will allow the banks to make better banking decisions.
We built our great railroads with Chinese labor in the 19th Century, now we have mortgaged the American Dream with Chinese dollars in the 21st!

Last night, Lou Dobbs made a valiant effort to rip apart Pres. Obama's budget. But what he forgot to mention was that it ends tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas. I think he's been a huge proponent of that for quite some time now. Interesting.

More double talk. The GOP is strongly against ending the Bush tax cuts to the wealthy. They say we shouldn't tax the people who are most likely to invest in small businesses and grow the economy.
Well, I think I remember, back when the tax cuts were enacted, someone saying, that the tax cuts, to the wealthy, would grow the economy, and pay for themselves. Has that happened? So, if the tax cuts didn't grow the economy then, how or why will they grow it now? It's not class warfare, it's common sense - something the GOP seems to be lacking these days. If anything, higher taxes for the wealthy will cause them to look for tax write offs. That will stimulate investment in smaller riskier businesses. A loss is a write off.

This mortgage scam just keeps getting more interesting. It's like an episode of the Sopranos. There was an episode where they had a real estate appraiser on the books. Tony would buy a property, and get the appraiser to appraise the property for more than it was worth. Tony then sold that house at the inflated price.

The large investment banks with their mortgage backed securities and CDOs did almost the same thing. They got rating agencies like Moodys and Standard and Poors to rate their mortgage backed securities and CDOs at AAA, when they barely met BBB status. There are people who really need to be locked up, not just Madoff. Most of those investments were sold oversees in Europe. I'm begining to think the Fed intentionally lowered treasuries so the investment companies could sell these bad mortgages. The EU is really pissed at us, but they won't admit it. I think if they had an army, we would be at war right now. The only way the government can justify bailing out the national banks, to me, would be to put those responsible in prison. Otherwise, let them fail. Nationalize them with the intent to sell off the assets. Selling the assets is not going to be easy because the mortgages that are managed by the banks, are not necessarily owned by the banks. So, the gov. will have to run the banks while they determine the value of all the assets and sort through all the bullshit. Plus, I think the government s afraid of what they might find on the balance sheets of these banks. All I can say right now is Thank God for the FDIC! If it wasn't for the FDIC, you know all the deposits would be gone right now.
