Plot Point

By Bill Maher

Rand Paul wrote a fundraising letter to his "fellow patriots" calling President Obama and "his anti-gun pals" "anti-American globalists [who] plot against our Constitution." The same day this statement came out, Politico wrote, "Put simply, if you designed a candidate in a lab to match up with the early GOP primary states, it would probably look a lot like Rand Paul." Even The New York Times has called him "a rising star."

Rand Paul can say whatever crazy shit he wants to become more popular with the Republican base. But when he says the president is "plotting" against other Americans, it's up to the rest of the civilized world to dismiss him as a dangerous kook.

And he's just one cog in the crazy machine. Last week, House Republicans voted to repeal Obamacare for the 37th time. In the Senate, Republicans are blocking Obama's nominees to head the EPA and the Department of Labor, and have prevented -- for years -- anybody from being named to the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The most important appellate court in the United States, the D.C. Circuit court (which is like the Supreme Court's mini-me because it rules on so many federal issues), has had four vacancies forever. In fact, John Roberts sat on this court before being appointed to the Supreme Court in 2005, and his seat is still vacant because Republicans won't put somebody there who changes the balance of power.

At what point does obstruction become treason? Isn't that a reasonable question now, especially with Obamacare? It's the law of the land, affirmed by the Supreme Court, but Republicans are still trying to defund it and screw it up any way they can.
Aren't they "plotting" against their country?

Hello, how are you today? I'm David, or Gumbydav on YouTube. I'm attempting to spread awareness for a genetic disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, as well as the issues I’ve had with the Social Security Administration (SSA). I have a very severe case of the Hypermobility Type (EDS-HT). Most people only have a few joints affected...

Essentially, every joint in my body (200+) have subluxations (partial/incomplete dislocations), with or without trauma. Further, about 40+ of my joints frequently have complete dislocations, with or without trauma (http://youtu.be/INmlpQWRXy4).

This disability from which I suffer is worse than the Social Security Administration's criteria in their "Blue Book." Legally, if a person has a medical condition that meets, or is equivalent to, the SSA's criteria in their "Blue Book," then they are bound to grant that person disability (SSDI/SSI). However, they unjustly denied my claim, while making numerous errors. I have a severe case of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome - The Hypermobility Type (EDS-HT).

PS: I have also made a Facebook Page going into detail about the "Fraud or Similar Fault" during my 2010 SSDI/SSI case. Here is the Facebook Page:

The Republicans are trying to "block" "stop" this train wreck Mr. Maher to "PROTECT" the American people NOT hurt our nation or it's citizens. Obamacare is going to screw everyone from the very top of the food chain so to speak all the way down to those who are in the most need in this country. It "IS" and always "WAS" a huge huge MESS!!!! We can't afford it and this country was not founded on having HUGE government. It was founded BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE!! That sir mean they work for us!!

Bill,

I watch your show from time to time and I usually see where you try to have 5 democratic representatives to one Republican to allow your rudeness and uncaring desire to roast their balls. I hate to tell you this, but one day you will have to face God and he will judge you whether you like that or not. All will have to answer.

Seriously - you really need to consider some of the things you say toward God and his son Jesus Christ. Regardless of what you think, you will kneel before God one day and regret many comments you have made against him.

Take care and remember God does love you even though you mock him.

Bill. Been a fan of yours for quite some time. However, now I must say that with the truth about President Obama coming out, you look foolish. I supported Obama, but now I fear he and his team are out of control. I wish this weren't the case, but I'm afraid it is. You now are looking like Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limpballs did until the truth did come out. Now you are looking like the crazy kook. It's ok to turn against our leader. It's actually American to question and not fear the government. I no longer trust Obama and neither should you. x, John Kennedy

Just to think a few years ago Bill Maher said Ron Paul was his favorite politician, and now he is calling his son a dangerous kook bordering on being a traitor. I remember how Bill called out Bush's tyranny, but now supports Obama's tyranny. It's obvious he is just a gate keeper and not a real intellectual.

Humanity is not lifesaving health care that has a price tag. Humanity is not widespread incarceration. There is no humanity in killing men, women, and children for oil. There is no humanity in destroying the environment for profit. There is no humanity in the system now, so the disadvantaged seek to change the world that the youth WILL inherit. Bill, I appreciate your activism, you’re a comical voice to the voiceless. I ask that you: invite more ‘nameless’ voices as guests on your show, give community college students or elementary school teachers or recent immigrants tickets to your show and let them ask questions to celebrity guests, and my favorite idea: get a political as guests and fill your audience with working class blacks and Latinos, then let them ask questions. I know you often have celebrity guest and that boosts ratings, but isn’t your show entitled Real Time with Bill Maher? What’s real about a celebrity other than a REAL big bank account? I do enjoy your show, but I see so much potential. How real would it be if you spoke with a 25 year old disabled marine veteran who can’t support his family and hated his service in this so called war on terrorism? How real would it be to have a 16 year old girl who was raped into motherhood on your show? How real would it be to have a 23 year old father who is going to college, working a part-time job and deals with his mentally handicapped mother on your show? How real would it be if you had all these people on your show and they could intelligently link the situation they are in to failed government policy?
I doubt you will even acknowledge this comment/suggestion, but I needed to get this off my chest. I have interest in creating my own show with these kinds of ideas to give voice to those who cannot speak, but I haven’t become fluent in the language that every capitalist can understand, More Money. I’ll still be watching your show when I get free time, and I look forward to seeing new perspectives on Real Time.

This comment is admittedly off topic for this article, but I wanted to speak to you on a public forum, and this blog seems to be the best way possible.
Recently, you said that you have no problem with PRISM. You said that you trust the President.
Have you heard anything that's been going on in Washington lately? I understand that the IRS targeting isn't something that's being done "against you" or "against liberals", but don't you think it'll be too late if it does come against you and liberals? If the President is able to get through the "Republican Wall" that blocks his agenda at times, he'll have blue skies and easy sailing to do anything he wants. The President has clearly shown us that he is willing to leave anyone behind for his own political gain. What makes you think that he won't use the power he has to attack you or other democrats? The problem with having so much power is that in the wrong hands, it's dangerous. I would implore you to look with no bias at the President's actions that have been exposed over the past few months, and tell me that a man that has done such things doesn't even slightly worry you.
The NSA is currently setup to provide an immediate hostile take-over, if commanded, anywhere in the US. It took all but a few hours to completely shut down Boston - an incredible feat. Imagine an America with no "conservatives" defending certain rights. How equipped would you be to defend your liberties from a tyrant?
These are just thoughts. It's probably clear I'm a "conservative". For what it's worth, I'm a gay man that believes in rights and liberties for all, equally.

I was surprised and a little dissapointed when you said in your show on june 7th that nukes tipp the balance for you in the justification to record EVERYTHING in our entire lives electronically and store it forever. The thing is, if anyone higher up(in gouvernment or well-networked(with gov. officials as it is often the case with all that revolving door lobbyism taking place) executive-circles) ever has a problem with you he can rewind anything you ever said or wrote online(and technology enables an increasing amount of your body and brain functions to be online) and make your coffin nails out of it.

Love your show Bill! But it seems these days the only thing to talk about is corruption. The gun background check is a perfect example. Polls say 90% of the American people want background checks. What is not said is that 90% of Congress probably does as well. But it doesn't matter what they really think, because they are bought. I don't watch politics and think, "so they think that is the smart thing to do", I watch politics and think "so this is what they are paid to do". A very sad state of our country. When taxes on the rich were slashed starting with Reagan, it did not unleash the "free market", it unleashed corruption on the government(and thus the debt). Raising taxes to take away that corruption money is the only way to correct this. Take away the money that corrupts! But I bet even if 90% of the people and 90% of Congress wanted to drastically raise taxes on the rich it would not happen, as background checks on guns did not happen. Corruption is far too great at this point for smart thinking to rein again.

OK, If I were to write a "Dear Bill" letter, here is how it would go.

Bill, I am sorry to start this off on such a negative note, but your unabashed arrogance in your opinions leaves me feeling so angry and unheard. Hey, stop automatically chalking that statement up to me being a conservative right winger (like I know you did!) It is not a right versus left thing with my objection to you, and I am no surely no right winger. In fact, I feel the exact same about Rush. You two have a lot in common.

When the person in control of the microphone states his opinion in terms of being an absolute, while simultaneously calling anyone who has a different opinion "stupid" (as you often do), then no real communication can possibly occur. You simply get your eager-to-please applause and giggles at your every witty quip, (regardless of how outrageous)from the non-thinkers in the audience(who already pre-agree with you for the mere reason that YOU said whatever). Probably not that deeply satisfying for you I would guess.

Here's the thing, far right or far left, both are scary... And if you were as smart as you think (and often say) you are, you would realize that the vast majority of Americans are moderates in the respect that while they may staunchly affiliate themselves with one political party or the other (or with varying degrees of fevor),they are also free-thinking, intelligent, complex individuals by definition of being human. As such, there is NO ONE (well, except maybe you and Jesse Jackson ha-ha) who is completely and blindly PARTISAN (a word for which my thesaurus offers such synonyms as: "unreasoning",
"biased", "one-sided") toward one party or the other. This is not to say we do not have allegiance to the basic ideals of our chosen party, but we all have the intelligence to realize that neither political party (or any politician)could possibly be completely and always correct - or wrong for that matter- in their every mindset, opinion, or proposal. Absolutes exist in science and math, but not in politics! Yet you consistently make blanket statements against "the other party" that labels "them" (your fellow Americans I might remind you) as bad, destructive, selfish, hateful etc.

Well, I state as fact (as you are fond of doing) the following: Republicans/conservatives are extremely patriotic and love America. If reading that sentence made you bristle, then you need to check yourself. Because, I also state that Democrats/liberals are extremely patriotic and love America.

Bill, you have a unique situation where you, as an individual, could use your forum to actually allow people (even yourself!)to consider alternate points of view (i.e. develop BI-partisanship)rather than shutting down any and every opinion that even hints at questioning or challenging your omnipotent perspective. Don't blame the "other side" for being uncooperative when you yourself are deaf to all but your own thoughts. We can only generate thought, facilitate understanding and induce compromise by allowing all points of view to be freely expressed without censorship and/or ridicule. Because you see, Bill, I guarantee you that I have the "Intelligence Quotient" (brain capacity) to handle hearing opposing viewpoints, to thoughtfully consider same, and to adjust my stance on an issue if I have been convinced as to the validity of a (formerly) opposing opinion. How about you -do you have the IQ??

Sincerely,
Sick of the Pot Stirring for Ratings

P.S. Interesting that you tout socialism when your very livelihood is dependent on capitalism. Socialism is based on pay for your contributions to the community as a whole. Hummm, where will you fit in???

Is there some contractual reason why Real Time cannot be live streamed over the Internet as a subscription service? Its so cheap to do and people like me who don't have cable would gladly pay say, $10 a month for access to your weekly live stream. If the cable providers object, stream it a day later. YouTube "clips" suck. A lot.

Too many people identify themselves has Democrats or Republicans before they think of themselves has Americans. If you want to cite the constitution in your debate and use it to justify assault weapons, (something it was never meant to do), then conversely you must use the constitution to be tolerant of immigrants and people of different religion (something the constitution was clearly intended to do). But these people are not being honest, they are picking and choosing what suits their agenda.

For me, as a Canadian, it makes the Republican arguments for guns and their stance against being reasonable on immigration from Mexico lose any credibility. You can't have it both ways.

And clearly we need to set term limits on senators and congressman and governors. Accountability and transparency need to become revisited by our government and demanded by the electorate.

Thanks Bill. Keep making sense. It's refreshing.

"According to Al Jazeera and the Abbottabad Commission report, bin Laden was in bed with his youngest wife, Amal, when the couple first heard what they thought was a storm shortly after midnight. Amal went to turn on the light, but bin Laden yelled "No!" and quickly realized American forces had come to get him. He yelled to his son, Khalid, and later Amal and two of bin Laden's daughters recited verses from the Koran. Khalid would later be killed by the SEALs."

Of course he was in bed with his youngest wife. Come on. You wouldn't think he'd be there with his oldest one do you?

Here is one of the posts from Syrian Atheists I am talking about:
Muhammad Abyad was a proud Syrian Atheists, member of our network, secular anti Assad activist, compassionate doctor and above all a very dear friend.

Muhammad graduated last spring from medical school, had a girlfriend and could have stayed in turkey but he chose to work with doctors without borders in Hot Zones in the north of Syria. He was kidnapped before by islamic extremists and was threatened many times for his anti theist views that he wasn't afraid express publicly. Today facebook pages started reporting that islamist extremists kidnapped him and killed him.

He was the first to go out in peaceful demonstrations and the first to attend to the injured. I would not exaggerate if I called him a true humanist angle with absolute selflessness.

Only two days ago we were talking about him coming out on the page. I can't begin to describe my sadness and I'm not shy of shedding tears for this fallen hero. He was concerned about human rights abuse in every country and used to say I'm a citizen of the world only for these sub-human murderous muslims to come and rob him of the his most basic right, the right to live.

I hope people who interacted with him on this page will share my sentiments when I say although he might be gone but he will live eternally in our memories as the atheist hero, the healer, freedom fighter and our beloved friend.

If Obamacare is so bad, where is the better alternative from the Republicans? I happen to like the idea of healthcare for all citizens. It's a bit crazy, but I think access to healthcare is a fundamental right. It seems that every other civilized and many not so advanced countries have figured that out.

Obamacare is "The Affordable Care Act"... My wife and I pay over $15,000 per year because of the State we live in and that we are over 60. We think that we'll pay more when Obamacare kicks in.

But our son, who currently has no insurance from his employers will be better able to afford it. So those of us who can afford to pay a reasonable amount, stop wining and do so. And my thanks for helping all our sons and daughters buy insurance.

I'm leaving this comment but have no illusions that the person I want to read it will indeed read it. Still, I am hoping that Bill Maher will read this comment and then perhaps get a different perspective ...(without any snide remarks please)...on his position regarding Obamacare. I get sick and tired of people ranting on about this mandate whether for or against, when they are so ignorant of what the bill entails.
First off, let's call it what it is, Obamacare was created to very quickly morph into a single payer program, which mimics socialized medicine. And all this talk about Obamacare has yet to completely inform the American public of what the true ingredients of this bill really are.
It actually is based on the UK NHS and so of course will mimic most of its components...one of which is euthanasia!!! Now don't freak out, I just want to expose some of the dark side to this system and who better to tell about it than I since I lived under the system for a short while. I might mention that I'm Anglo-American and still have family members in England. The one compelling story I tell is about my mom and my sister, both of whom died under the NHS (National Health Service) aka the UK's socialized medicine.
Quite simply, all such programs operate on a tight budget and therefore have no choice but to use rationing as a necessity. However, who do you guess are singled out for rationing when push comes to shove....why, the elderly and the poor of course. So don't live in a fantasy world thinking all your health issues will be taken care of without the worry of how much it's going to cost. You WILL find yourself in a position to be an unwilling participant of euthanasia if you live long enough or have a critical illness that costs a fortune to treat. Neither my mom or my sister wanted to die, and neither had a critical illness, and in fact walked into the hospital on their own steam. But because they happened to be 'elderly' at the time they were admitted to the hospital....my sister for tests and my mom as a respite outpatient... they were euthanized after just a few days, simply because they were expendable and no diagnosis could be found. Now I'm not talking here about patients who are on death's door and simply have the plug pulled. I'm talking about people who are very much alive and still have years to live!
The method of choice for this euthanasua is a lethal dose of Morphine....or Morphia as the Brits call it....and restriction of food and water until dead.
But don't take my word for it, just read the articles at the links below. The UK's end of life LCP was being so abused that they've had to eliminate it starting next year. Why not immediately? Well the British invented bureaucracy so need I say more.
So here you go, please educate yourself and see what I'm talking about.
Thanks for your indulgence.

And your ignorant biased butt can't see the truth. America by majority don't want this illegal thing.

I won't have to deal with having 33 years military. VA will help me. YOU have a gated community, bodyguards, and enough cash to do whatever. So why should you worry about America?

So sad, but you chose not to believe. Consider the creation of the universe and all it's contents. Who thought up all this? The intricate detailed processes of the human body?

Insult to your own intelligence?

GOD will have JESUS speak with non-believer and believers when this world is done, and that's not so far away.

Why are police armed like the military? Why are brainwashing techniques, i.e., common core, being forced on innocent impressionable kids?

Why does the WH insist on raising the debt limit, maxing out the card, then doing it all over again?

Why don't you spend all your money, then worry about making enough to live on? That's the equivalent of what the incompetent WH is doing.

Don't call me a "JESUS freak".

It appears that Obama care will be implemented. I wonder how many doctors will accept the fee schedule and I wonder how many doctors will leave their practice or go into concierge care. In either case this will lead to rationing just like they do in Canada and England. It's difficult enough for me to get care under the present system. Anyone who is delusional enough to believe the Affordable Care Act will improve services and accessibility is as crazy as Bill Maher

Boy do I wish there were more people in this world like yourself sir. I saw Religulous not that long ago and I don't remember ever feeling so happy and yet so upset before. lol. To see that we have become so obsessed with what we can't control (life after death) is absurd. You always call it like you see it (Facts) and never hold back. Wish I knew you in person so I could revel in the fact that my "opinions" are more valid than I thought they'd ever be. All I can say is THANK YOU!!!! (I'd say run for office...but I doubt you want to subject yourself to the torture of being around those people all day)

I think that in America some statments are made to increase fear.

Your rights are being taken away to own a gun. What I saw was only one change to apart of the law and that was background checks. Has anyone lost their right to own a gun?

Obamacare your premiums will increase well mine increased July 1st and has every July 1st since I had been working and even now aa a retired American.

Just finished watching Religulous (and loved the hell out of it, pardon the pun) and had to come over to this web site to check it out.

Not being an american, I can't voice a valid opinion on Mr. Maher's politics, but I must say that I love the way you give religion the what-for.

I've not heard such vehement and common-sense arguments used against religion -in such a funny way- since the late George Carlin passed away. This appeals to me because I'm writing my own scathing review on religion. Well, to be completely honest, I'm co-authoring it with a friend of mine. I won't share the title just yet, but if there were a way I could get in touch with Bill Maher, I'd love to be able to talk to him about various issues on these topics.

Thus, I'd ask Bill Maher, or any people who work with him to please make him aware of my request. Please let him know that I'd very much like his help in this; help in getting more of the silent minority to become less silent and help in what feels like the futile attempt at getting the unsilent majority to do some serious introspection.

I think that's an awesome question. If a party was trying to fight a law that had been in place, I'm sure they would of been met with treason. And the rep. keep saying how things aren't getting while making sure the very same thing is blocked. Or their "say no to everything." So I worry about the affordable care act. Maybe a conclusion can be made if the dem. promise to not call it oboma care... By simple minded thinking "changing the name changing the condition." Mainly because in the primary the rep. where completely for gov. regulated healthcare. The only part I have run into that people are against (which came up before then too) is that everyone would be forced to get healthcare. And thusly, this is when the rep. realized that young and healthy people would not worry about getting sick and the rich could afford the high rates. So lets make it sound like people can take care of them selves if they want to and that can be said as a choice... But strangely missed is knowing that a young healthy person would be paying even though they will not have as many problems, but that allows the older and sicker coverage, which eventually (no matter how much you think you can control the world around you and keep loved ones save by just mearly thinking it) (or as you or Richard Dawakins would say "your imaginary friend in the sky" somehow is at your will) will get sick and old.

I think the message needs to be to the young and healthy that their involvement now allows them coverage when they will need it.

I have been victim to the Superman complex where I knew I didn't even need to brush my teeth. And as I got older that I couldn't get hurt. And now, that I could really do whatever I want and somehow get away with it (I got a DUI).

And I understand the need to feel that you can keep your love ones safe even when they are not around. But fact is, with the Superman complex and/or religion, People, I believe, can understand signing up for care for others that will also be there for them when they will need it.

Sir,
Please read my comment on global warming. I am an Engineer from India and what I am giving is a real view.
I really respect you and Neil De Grasse Tyson whose views I have read through out but I am still skeptic when you say that Global warming being caused by Humans.
Sir Global warming is real no doubt about that but to have it any significant effect on lives on earth it has to be drastic like Venus.
Earth is bigger (and sometimes smaller) than most people can imagine (thats true)for human activities to have any effect on global temperatures I think it would take a lot more time than global warming activists point out.
I should point out that Krakatoa Volcano dropped the global temperature by more than 1 degree celsius (2.2 degree farenheit)
and Human beings are not even close to creating such havoc on Global TEMPERATURES
I am not talking about different types of pollution. They are causing problems with lives on planet but Human activities are too insignificant compared to (natural disasters) to raise global temperatures. This is equivalent to saying that big buildings are causing earthquakes.

Let me re-emphasize Pollution effects on life. Global warming is real. But for Global warming to happen because of human activities is probably we cannot imagine for next 1000 years.
Sir another thing I want to point out is the fact that a lot of environmental activists use Global warming as a tool to hinder development and support there own profits.
Since I am from India I can give you an example from India but it is too generalized that anyone can connect to it.
We have sand mafias in India, they sell Sand containing Zirconia (you may not have heard of it but you use it everyday)abroad at cheaper prices.
India has technology to synthesize Zirconia from the sand but as soon as someone wants to set up a factory Sand mafias give money to so called environmental activists to raise voice against it. and the factories get stalled. Despite having the largest reserves of Zircon Sand India has only 1 industry that produces Zirconia that too for research purpose.
and I think most of the environmental activists think like that.
One should stop these crazy environmental activists and leave the works of scientists to scientists.
Industries are Important and they cause pollution I agree to that but Industries are needed to reduce the pollution levels and get development.
Thank you
If you have read it
Thank you for your precious time
If you like my view
please share it

Hope you're well, I'm part of the bottom percent in income. I make roughly 1200 usd a month. But I'm a Army vet so don't need Obamacare but even if I did I would not support it. I would like to keep the government out of my life now as much as possible! I believe in freedom. As long as you do no harm to another living being ( with the exception of hunting for food) you should be allowed to do anything you want on your own property ( rented or owed ) smoke pot shoot crack what ever turns you on just don't tell me what to do or think in my home. Personely I like to shoot firearms, drink alcohol(not at the same time ) and smoke the gangi I prefer women and though atheistic have a Buddhist philosophy mixed with a more Quantum physics concept but no gods come into it at all. It does scare me to think that true believers in myths run my government but it also bothers me that an intelligent man such as yourself believes there is any real difference between Democrats and Republicans.

In earlier times we got our news by reading and our entertainment from both books and the performing arts. Then radio captured our imagination with live verbal accounts of the day’s events as well as live dramatic performances all without leaving our homes.
More recent generations have joyfully entered movie theaters for the escape and the brief emotional journey provided by sweeping cinematic depictions. The images on the big screen mesmerize millions each year. We have all been deeply moved by one movie or another and carried those feelings long after leaving the theater. This power of moving images to psychologically condition is woefully under-appreciated. It is dangerously naïve to consider this medium as just a technological extension of print and radio. Madison Avenue has long known that images have the power to grab people emotionally in a way that words alone cannot. There was no mystery as to what transpired between Ray Rice and his fiancé in that elevator but there was no real outrage until we saw the video. ISIS is using its grisly beheading videos in an effective campaign to enrage the American public and thereby manipulate our military role in Iraq and Syria. Prior to the release of these videos sentiment was squarely behind military restraint. Now we are teetering on full scale war. Unfortunately the part of the human brain that governs decision making resides in the emotion center or limbic brain. The stronger the emotion, the stronger its influence on decisions. This is brain science 101 and yet the most powerful nation on earth is the puppet of video technology run amok. Candidates and Parties pay hundreds of millions of dollars to elite video producers (yeah yeah...) to craft persuasive ads the primary focus of which is not to introduce the candidate but rather to portray the opponent as unworthy for office. This is smart money. They spend it because they know generating emotions generates decisions. Are we really sure that repeated exposure to graphic depictions of combat and mayhem don’t create a cognitive bridge between the emotions they generate and conflict resolutions strategies? Maybe after a few more schools become mass murder scenes we may wake up to the broader danger of applying the precept of free speech to under-regulated distribution of evocative and graphic images. In the meantime, let's level the electoral playing field and somewhat reduce the propaganda during campaigns by barring broadcast of paid political advertising. It's not free speech, it's expensive manipulation that makes whores out of our representatives. Print, radio and televised debates alone might bring us closer to responsive government. where's that remote...

The most concern is the female polics officer that shot the unarmed African-American. Is She the equivalent of a fasco-anarchist suicide female suicide bomber? There is an element in American and internationally that is trying to bring about conflict between authority and those without authority. Their purpose is to bring about authoritarianism. The Republicans aren't the bad guys. Trump isn't the bad guy. These people are feeding the two sides causing a deeper and deeper rift. We have to be on our guard to preserve the balance of Democracy especially between the two maor parties and the Conservatives and Liberals.

Without careful watchdogs those of us fat and complacent that everything will be all right have fallen asleep in the face of danger. That or it was a mistake that She misfired. I doubt it. I'm scared of these people. Look at the problems in our world. They are more edgy than ever.
